On cross-examination, the defense asked the agent if he lives in Florida and keeps guns in his home. Gannon replied he does.

The government then called an expert witness, Dr. Dawn Hughes, a psychologist who specializes in domestic violence and trauma. The government is paying for her to appear in court.

Hughes spoke about post traumatic stress disorder and how it relates to abusive relationships. She also spoke about trauma bonds. She explained the closer the relationship, the less likely a victim is to disclose abuse.

Hughes also talked about triggering memories, and how there can be late recall when abuse is involved because people have pushed memories to the back of their minds.

A third witness, George Kaplan, was a former employee of Combs'. Kaplan testified he worked as an executive assistant, 80-100 per week. Kaplan said Combs would threaten his job at times.

Kaplan also told the jury he would set up, and clean up, Combs' hotel rooms, often spotting baby oil all over. When asked why not let the hotel staff just clean it, he said protecting Combs' image was important because sometimes people would try to sell pictures to embarrass celebrities.

Kaplan will be back on the stand Thursday, then rapper and actor Kid Cudi, whose legal name is Scott Mescudi, is expected to testify about his brief relationship in 2011 with Ventura.

Ventura testified last week that Combs threatened to blow up Cudi's car because he was so upset about the relationship.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to the five counts he's charged with.
