Quiet, comfortable Memorial Day weekend ahead for Twin Cities
Friday brings sunshine, light winds and highs in the upper 60s in the Twin Cities.
A frost advisory is in effect for northeast Minnesota on Saturday from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. as temperatures are expected to drop to around 32 degrees.
The rest of Saturday will be mostly sunny with temperatures near 70. There's a chance for a few showers in the northeast region, but most of the state will remain dry.
Areas in the northwest may wildfire smoke from fires in Manitoba, Canada, according to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
"People may see and smell smoke, and those who are especially sensitive may be impacted," the state agency said on Friday.
Sunday will feature high temperatures in the low 70s with sunny conditions.
Memorial Day itself stays mild and pleasant, ideal for outdoor plans.
The next chance for rain is between Tuesday and Wednesday, with high temperatures around 70.
