Two juveniles have turned themselves in after three people were stabbed outside Santa Ana High School.

The Santa Ana Police Department confirmed that a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old, both students, turned themselves on Wednesday night.

Police said two of the victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition, while the third victim, a 14-year-old boy, died. Investigators believe all of the victims are high school students. After receiving treatment at the hospital, the wounded students are in a stable condition, according to police.

The Santa Ana Unified School District released a statement confirming the death of one of the students. The statement said the incident involved an altercation among several individuals after school was dismissed.

"Our thoughts are with the family of the student who passed, and with all those impacted by this senseless act of violence," district officials said.

The district said the school will have increased police presence on Thursday.

A small memorial with flowers and candles has begun to grow outside the school.
